Introduction of Java

Hello Friends how are you today in this article I am going to tell you about introduction of Java Programming Language. So lets start with Introduction of Java programming language .

Histroy:-

In June 1991 James Gosling, Mike Sheridan, and Patrick Naughton developed Java when they all are working in Sun Micro System.
In 1993 Java explored world wide .
Java mainly developed for the interactive television and that was too advanced for the digital cable television industry on that time.
In the starting Java called as Oak, name taken by a Oak tree which was stood out side of the James Gosling later it renamed as Green and in last renamed Java on bases of Java coffee.
The syntax of Java is similar to C/C++ syntax.
In 1995 Java formally announced incorporated into Netscape web browser.
In 1996 Sun Microsystems released the first public implementation as Java 1.0 . It promised "Write Once , Run Anywhere" .
In 1997 JDK 1.1 (Java Development Kit) launched and Java Servlet API released.
In 1998 Sun Microsystems produced a JDK(Java Development Kit) for linux.
In 2002 Java provided support for web services officially.
On 13 Nov. 2006 Sun Microsystems released JVM(Java virtual machine) as free and open source software.
On May 8, 2007, Sun finished the process, making all of its JVM's core code available under free software/open-source distribution terms.
In 2010 Java is acquired by Oracle Corporation from Sun Microsystems .
On April 2, 2010, James Gosling resigned from Oracle.
