Microprocessor

It is main part of the computer. Which is called as mind of computer. Normally it is  called as C.P.U. . Its work is to do every mathematical and logical operation  and during the time of executing a program store data temprary in memory and send timing and control signal to the every part of microcomputer.
There is a small difference between microprocessor and C.P.U. . That difference is microprocessor a single chip or I.C. while in C.P.U. along with microprocessor chip some other helping chips and some logic gates are present. The unit formed by these is called Central Processing Unit. Namely in short C.P.U. can be call as microprocessor but microprocessor can not be call as C.P.U.
